Services Completed:
Create a customised Advanced Custom Fields database and associated taxonomies to display the serviceperson information in an ordered fashion. Implement dynamic conditions, advanced and post queries and custom filtering to enable the information to be catalogued and searched. Currently, over 298 servicepersons are remembered in this project. Summary information is provided on the website with the option of procuring more in-depth information on each service person should the reader require. For example, only the year of birth is published, not the month and day. This helps to protect the privacy of those listed.
This is a significant project that hasn't been completed elsewhere. The Association's researchers have drawn information from multiple sources to find people who have served Australia in the military forces, have a connection to Western Australia, and may not be recognised elsewhere. Filtering the data on different levels to display the relevant service (Army, Navy, Air Force) and filtering the data so a relevant search could be completed. A customised Advanced Custom Fields database was created to create this unique collection of those who have served our country.
